Personal Support Worker (Midnight Shift) – Contract – Full-Time – Contract – Niagara Region, Ontario

Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible. 

This Opportunity

We are currently seeking to fill 1 Full-Time Contract Position for a Personal Support Worker (Midnight Shift) in the Niagara Region. This is a 40-hour/week role within our Community Support Services team, focused on providing essential care and support to clients in their own homes.

  •  Wage: Dependent on current wage grid, with paid travel time and mileage
  •  Eligible for the $3.00/hour temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients
  •  Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle are REQUIRED

Key Responsibilities:

As a PSW, you will provide compassionate, client-centered care in the home, including:

  • Personal care

  • Dressing and grooming

  • Morning and evening routines (rising/retiring)

  • Incontinence care (upon training)

  • Meal preparation and feeding

  • Range of motion exercises

  • Light housekeeping tasks

  • Lifts and transfers (upon training)

  • Always maintaining a professional, respectful manner that upholds the dignity, privacy, and safety of clients and staff

  • Availability to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays across locations in the Niagara Region

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver (considered an asset but not required)

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Completion of Physical Demands Self-Analysis upon hire

  • Flexible and reliable availability for scheduled shifts

  •  Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle
