Thanks to TD Bank Group, 60 March of Dimes Canada clients will have an opportunity to use avail®, an interactive, online platform and digital job-coaching app that provides virtual job training and coaching. avail® by CentralReach empowers people with disabilities to be more confident, independent and successful at work. We’re committed to incorporating new and innovative technologies – like avail® – to support clients in a rapidly changing employment landscape and evolving digital economy. 

We’re excited to have 40 March of Dimes Canada clients currently using avail® by accessing the platform through tablets and other handheld devices. Read Andrew’s inspirational story below for how avail® has had a positive impact on his career and his life. 

When one of our clients uses avail®, the Employment Services’ staff member who is supporting them collaborates with the employer to create personalized, digital content (such as photos and videos). This helps our client become familiar with the work environment and the tasks associated with the job. Schedules, timers, and reminders can also be uploaded to client’s tablet. 

avail® complements the work of our job developers and employment counsellors, who provide one-on-one support to clients who are looking for work, as well as those who have jobs in a variety of settings. The digital solution provides tailored training and ongoing support for individuals who are living with autism, brain injuries, mental health diagnoses, and cognitive disabilities learn skills that help them work and live more independently.
