MODC Employment Services update regarding COVID-19
In this developing situation, we want to assure you that March of Dimes Canada remains committed to providing outstanding employment services – and sharing what we are doing to keep everyone as safe as possible while meeting your employment needs.
We have shifted to remote delivery for almost all of our activities – meaning we have switched most in-person meetings and events to take place by telephone or using other technologies. In the rare case where an in-person meeting is required, we are taking safety precautions by implementing health and safety measures as outlined by the Public Health Agency of Canada. This requires regular deep cleaning of our sites, availability of products such as hand soap, hand sanitizer and relevant personal protection equipment.
In addition, our employees have been informed about social distancing – keeping a distance of at least two metres /six feet (the height of a fairly tall man) between themselves and others. We also have restrictions on non-essential work travel and face-to-face internal meetings to reduce possible exposure to COVID-19.
Even though our physical locations are currently closed, our phone lines are all open and we continue to operate virtually with regular business hours, providing services to our job seekers and employers across Canada. If you are seeking assistance in finding employment or are an employer looking for assistance with your hiring needs, please contact us at es@marchofdimes.ca or call your local office.
